I received this email from a friend who complains about my XP/Word 2003 documents sent through MS Outlook: "Every time I open one of your documents, I end up having my computer freeze up, open multiple copies of MS Word, and then ultimately say, "would you like to replace the Normal template?" I do not believe this is a virus problem. I believe that every time I open one of your documents, it wants to save it as a template. I had my computer looked at a couple of weeks ago . . . and I'm doing everything right. I finally traced it to your docs after xxxx had the same exact problem opening a doc you created. . . let me know if there's any insight. Otherwise we'll have to consult microsoft. . . "
I have installed various continuous anti-virus programs so I don't know what's going on, but I don't want to have to forego use of template stationery when these are work related. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks.

I would suggest that is is almost certainly a virus problem or you have some
very bad code in the template that you are using.

Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested. Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.

Hope this helps
