Hi all

I seldom post because I don't often feel I have anything of great value to
add. However, I did think it worthwhile using my industry contacts here in
OZ to complain about Fussy's incessant posts (although they've been fairly
restrained just lately). Mr Marks' ISP has just written to me and I
thought I'd share with you:

Quote
I wish to advise that I have investigated and have found that this customer
has breached the rules of conduct relating to the newsgroup and AUSTARnet's
Terms and Conditions. In this instance, the user has been issued with a
warning to cease this activity. Should this activity continue, I would
appreciate notification from you with appropriate headers etc., so that
further action can be taken.

Wait wait wait... are you saying AA Fussy harassed YOU? That's out of
character for him, because he is usually very polite. His incessant Babya
posts can be a little annoying sometimes, but all the abuse I have seen was
AGAINST him, not BY him.

If you are going to report abuse and harassment, at least do it uniformly.

I understand what you're saying, Bob, but personally I've got to the stage
where *anything* which results in the (even) temporary disappearance of
Fussy would seem a blessing.

He has harassed us all !!!

I don't see it any more - had him killfiled, but he is the worst
nuisance I have seen ever in this group - and there have been a few
:-)

He is polite, but stupid, persistent, heeds no advice or warning.....

He invites abuse - perhaps due to stupidity, more likely either an
unwillingness to learn, or a deliberate attempt to annoy.

'Polite' is debatable, in light of netiquette guidelines he ignores,
apparently willfully.

Killfiling him should be enough, I must say I got much more annoyed by the
individuals reacting to him then by AA himself. They are the ones that were
realy annoying IMHO. I just don't get it when you say he invites abuse, I
know what your trying to say, but people with common sense don't react to
him AND this newsgroup like that.
And why start this thread ? I just googled this newsgroup for the last
weeks, and no sign of AA or his 'followers'.

I didn't start the thread - now regret responding to it.

He did invite abuse - he annoyed I would guess almost everyone who
reads the group - difference now is that one or two responded to him
in such a way that they became more of a problem :-)

I just couldn't resist responding when you say you can't understand
why I would say he invited abuse - multiple spamming, of non-released,
crap products, but worst of all was not even acknowledging that he
pissed people off.

Anyhow - enough from me - any more discussion, lets go to email

I know you didn't startt the thread, that was more a general question from
me. Don't regret responding, we're just giving our opinions, it's not my
goal to start a long discussion, it's just not worth it.

On the first part we just disagree, but I'm sure we can both live with that.
We just look at it from different angles I guess. Your point is that he
annoyes people, which is true. My point is that people shouldn't react in an
abusive way. On the second part we agree, the people responding became more
of a problem than AA.

Like I said, I guess we're looking at that from different angles. I can see
that he gets on peoples nerves, like he did on mine, but killfiling him is
my opinion the better option than responding with some abusive reaction that
finds it's way to everybody in this group, but on the other hand I guess
it's a bit naive from me to expect that from every person coming here.
Anyhow - enough from me - any more discussion, lets go to email

And enough from me to, like I said before, the matter is just not worth
discussing. ( now I'm almost sorry I responded to the thread :) )

I rather be buried up to my neck in an ant nest than see that word
"netiquette".

Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp! Abuse! ;)
