Compatible Software?

I have heard that it is not advisable to have both
Microsoft Works Suite and Microsoft Office XP Pro
installed on the same computer. Is this true? I
currently have Works Suite but am thinking of getting
Office XP Pro, should I uninstall Works?

I have Works 4.5a and Office 2003 installed and see no problems. If you
have a version of Works that includes a copy of MS Word, run Works setup.
The setup program will detect that you have Works already and will offer
the opportunity to add or remove components. Use the screens to remove
Works' copy of Word. Then run Office XP setup.
 
In installed Office XP Pro over the Works
that came on my notebook and have
detected no problems to date (hard to
prove I never will, of course :-).
