Hi, all!
I am currently exploring the issue of preferences: original consumables
vs. compatible ones. Can you give me your opinion on that matter as
well as reasons? It is just for the scientific purpose.

Regards,
Kolik

Price.
Aftermarket supplies are cheaper in the long run, even if they destroy
your printer, as the savings can pay for a new printer.

Spefically bulk refill ink sold by particular online vendors though. You
are guaranteed to get ink from one of a handful of reputable
manufacturers, which manufacture ink to nearly OEM specs.

For prefilled/refilled aftermerket carts, there is less certainty as to
whose ink is in there.

I doubt if you will be able to draw any scientific conclusions from a
survey like this but good luck anyway.

I never use manufacturer's original cartridges - too much of a rip-off -
especially Epson.

I used to refill an old Canon (mono) but that was very messy. I have had
three Epsons and have never had any problem with compatible
cartridhes/ink. I buy compatible chipped cartridges because I can't be
bothered resetting chips, etc. The quality is good, even with
photographs on my C84. I don't know, and don't care if the ink is dye or
pigment based - it looks OK. The only problem I have had was the dreaded
"service required" box but that is nothing to do with the ink.
