I am getting really pissed off with Windows and computer manufacturers that
insist on Vista being installed on ther machines. I have a lot of expensive
software that won't install on Vista because it is not copmpatible: what is
Microsoft playing at?

I am totally pissed off with them. The software that was compatible with XP
shopuld also be compatible with Vista - are Microsoft going to pay for the
upgrades I will have to pay for. You bet your life they won't. The WORST
compnay ever!!

Typical American shitbags!!

Umm NO - why should MS pay money to ensure that products that are NOT THEIRS
work with THEIR operating system? It's up to the VENDORS to make sure that
THEIR products work with the available operating systems...

Spoken like a true fanboy. You know what... when I was still was
running XP and ran the Vista Upgrade advisor it complained about two
applications on my system. Both Microsoft.

So a better question would be how come Microsoft doesn't support it's
own software?

It's good for the economy if you have to buy new software and hardware for
Vista. Dem's the facts!

Which is why Amazons top 3 best sellers are not Vista. Vista is not that
compatable.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/pc/

In fact, a #4 we see a Vista, and at #6 we see a XP.

# 1 - EeePC 900 with Linux
# 2 - Apple MacBook OSX
# 3 - Apple MacBook Pro OSX

Go figure. I guess after all the hype, Vista is just that - hype.

People don't care if it is Microsoft's issues, or the vendors issues. If it
sucks, they are starting to buy products that don't have Vista in it.

I don't think all the vendors are wrong either. While a particular mobo
might have issues, I don't think the HP, Dell, Lenovo, Asus, DFI, Gigabyte,
Intel, AMD and others are ganging up on Microsoft to make them look bad.

Or, alternatively, Microsoft can make it's own PCs. But I suspect they
can't because of who they reject will start shipping cheap Linux PCs into a
price demanding consumer market. And will that turn this market on end.
And share holders have seen XBOX profitability, if MSFT got into hardware I
would short the stock.

In the mean time, MicroSoft Franchise Tax (MSFT) is what keeps them going.
