the latest beta version does not allow the system
optimizer to come up. i have deleted and reinstalled
twice but not luck. is there an incompatible program
 
If you have moved from Giant Antispyware to Microsoft Antispyware, this is a
difference in the products--the system optimizer, as I understand it, is not
included in Microsoft Antispyware, although it still appears in the help
text.

If you were ever able to access the system optimizer in Microsoft
Antispyware, I'd like to know more--what keystrokes or menu choices were
involved?

A FRIEND AND HIS SYSTEM OPTIMIZER WORKS

Can you verify, via Help, About, what version your friend is running?

Was Giant Antispyware ever installed on that machine. How about CounterSpy?

Anybody else here see an option for System Optimizer anywhere outside the
help for Microsoft Antispyware?

LOOK UNDER GENERAL-SYSTEM EXPLORER/WINDOWS AND FOLLOW THE
FIX. I TRIED IT AND IT WORKED.
C PROMPT/ TYPE "REGSVE32 MSVBVM60.DLL" THEN ENTER.
 
Ok. If this allowed you to find the system optimizer in the menus and run
it, can you clue the rest of us in on the keystrokes to do so?
