Hi,

Have a hard fight that last 3 days to remove a few trojans hid on my XP Home
Ed, I installed SP2 that comes with its firewall and google bar blocker. My
current AV is KAV6 beta.

I observed that after installation of Pctools Spyware Dr, its exe is
considered as a virus by KAV. I asked it to "skip" its removal but it delete
it ! (I suspected that some signatures for an installed procuct could be
misinterpreted by another product, it was well the case).

Question.
If my AV confuses other antivirus products with viruses, what I think they
are not ;-) , could it be stuck or hanged if I install a protection for my
email system (outlook express) like spambayes (any better ?)

If there is a risk of confusion and hanging, could it be better to install
(there is in fact nothing to install locally) the solutions provided by my
ISP (various antivirus and antispams as well a security scan firewall that
cost about 1 or 2 euros per month) ?

I think it would be better to install a better e-mail client.I use
Thunderbird-you should try it. If you need some help installing it post
back.I see that you are using a beta version of Kaspersky.Beta's
usually have some issues that need ironed out, submit the problem to
them for study.About the AV-I use several on-demand scanners for things
I download. If you are paying for an AV-use Nod or Kaspersky.
Bottom Line-an AV can only do so much, the rest is up to you-pratice
safe-hex.

If are using KAV, remove PC Tools.
