I am using Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit) and I have an older
spreadsheet program to install that I understand should be run in a
"Compatibility Mode". May I ask for additional information on this? How
would I do this?

Don't know how I'd live without it. Here's all you need to do...

Open Control Panel, under Programs and Features click on Use and older
program with this version of Windows... follow the instructions and
you're in!

Bill:
Many thanks for the help. I am talking about an old Lotus 123 application
circa 1996 that I used for years. It fits like an old shoe and I am very
comfortable with it. Everything seems to be working perfectly except for the
color palette (I can work around this though.) Thanks again - it is really a
big deal for me.

You're welcome, Gene. Hope everything works out for you. I have some
old applications that are very important to me and I know how you
feel.

Lotus 123? I think modern Microsoft Excel versions should open those
files.

Or if not, try Open Office (free - www.openoffice.org and download the
Spreadsheet application from that suite).
