compare texts

how can I compare the text from the same column in two differen
worksheets to see which entries on in one but not the other
 
Try this. Put this formula in an adjacent column. say the
text you are looking for is in column A(can be any column)
but it has to be the first column in your selected range.
So if the text column in you r second sheet is in D then
select you range from $D$2:$E$2

=if(isna(vlookup(A2,'sheet2'!$A$2:$B$1000,2,0),1,0)

All the cells with '1' doesnt exsits in the list.
