Okay - I am on the lookout for a new graffix card.

My 3DMark05 Score came in at 365 (Three hundered and Sixty Five) - Absolute
Crud !

Most games run pretty well on my system which is a Pentium 4 2.53Ghz with
1GB RAM and a Geforced FX 5500. So you imagine what benefit i I would get
out of a much higher rated graffix card...

I was actually amazed that my card score was so low... which got me
thinking... What cards and system scores exist out there...

What Card and System do you have and what score do you get???

If somebody scores 5000 for example - does that mean thier card is 13.69
times better/faster than mine? How does 3DMark05 score it's scores?

You can use the Online Result Browser to check how your machine compares to
others with similar or different specs. That 365 seems awfully low, though.
I got 6071, details here:

that is interesting..very similar systems so to speak except that mine is an
OC'd A64-3700 San Diego CPU..

yes..so as to have another system side by side to compare too...for his
reference not mine...is easier than flipping back and forth between two
links. Didn't realize it was a problem..was just trying to make it all easy.

my mistake...on mine it showed both..but i needed to purge my Internet
Explorer cache to see what you meant..didn't realize it till I seen the end
refernce numbers matched.

if its of use then my score is shy of 14k with the following system:

amd 4400 @ 2640 11x240 HTT x4
MSI Diamond SLI NF4
2 x 1gb PC4000 Ballistix ddr 2.5-3-3-7 1T
ATI Connect3d X1900XTX 512 mb max overclock via CCC 6.2 driver
1 x WD 150gb Raptor 16mb cache
Hi i also have an nf4 board and my question concern the T1 timing of
your memory. Me on my board it set at timing 2T and it say something
about the difference of 1t and 2t in the bios, actually i can't recall
what it is but i think it something about what kind of mem you use.

Could you tell me what's up whit that has your showing us that spec???

Did you get a compare url? What kind of FPS were you getting on the three
games?

that may depend on the memory and the motherboard...I have OCZ
PC4000EL-1024x2 running at mem divider 233 plus OC'd at 235 with timings of
3-4-4-8 1T..but my Corsiar Ram ran at 1T also. If you occupy all 4 RAM slots
usually it will drop to the 2T setting...or some do it to gain more
stability while overclocking. I t will help to increase the mem bandwidth
speed..currently on this setup Everest reports 7148 Mbs throughput on read
and Sisoft is 6968.
