Hello,
I have been thinking about a situation for some time and can not come up
with a solution.
I have been provided with a table.
The table is structured (simplified) as follows:

Telephone Number, Charge for service phrase, Charge amount

An example:

7709991234, Charge for service provided, 25.00
7709991234, Credit for service provided, 25.00
7708881234, Charge for service provided, 25.00
7708881234, Credit for service provided, 25.00
7707771234, Charge for service provided, 25.00
7706661234, Charge for service provided, 25.00
7706661234, Credit for service provided, 25.00

As you can see the charge and credit normally appear in paired records.

How do I identify telephone number 7707771234. It has a charge record but
not a credit record.

Any assistance will be appreciated. I am NOT an expert at ACCESS.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Thank You,
Greg

Do a totals query to count records for each telephone number with criteria of
<2.

Karl's suggestion is simpler but could fail if you have two charges and one
credit...

Try creating two Queries, one for charges, one for credits, by using

"Charge for service provided"

as a criterion for the first, and "Credit... " for the second.

Then use the Unmatched Query Wizard to create a query based on these two
queries.
