I am having to use the national Do Not Call list to filter
out numbers that I cannot call. I have an Excel file that
consists of 3700 numbers that I am able to call. Since
Excel cannot open a csv file with 450,000 rows I have to
use Access. Is there a way to import the xls file into
Access and compare numbers and delete the ones that appear
on the DNC list?

TIA

Scott

Importing to Excel is a simple matter from the File>>Get external data menu.
Import both spreadsheets, and set up a query based on the two newly created
tables to filter in/out/compare any data you want.

Is that enough to get you going?

Sorry for not replying sooner. FOr some reason the new
messages were not posting.

I think I have set the query up correctly, but is there a
criteria that I have to put in there? I am very new at
queries...

I have a db here that I hacked together for you (I used single digits
instead of phone numbers) that shows how to delete from the prospect list,
or just list numbers that are eligible to be called.

Contact me offline and I'll send it to you if you like. Kevin [at]
