Comparable replacement for Epson Stylus Color 600

I've had this printer for over 5 years and I've been EXTREMELY pleased.

I use it mostly to print documents, sometimes some web pages, and sometimes
some Greetings Workshop cards.

It still works fine but I am getting a new system with Windows XP. Epson
does not seem to have any drivers for it, but I think XP has some
generic-type drivers that will work (I'll find out soon). Regardless, I
might want to just keep the 600 with my W98 system and get a new printer for
the new XP system.

So, my question to the group: What printer would you recommend that would
be similar (but perhaps better with newer technology) to what I have with
the above-stated uses?? I am somewhat partial to Epson but I would consider
a Canon or HP. Cost is also an important consideration. I would hope to pay
under $125.

Canon i560

I use an Epson 600 with Win XP, the generic XP driver is fine. Just plug
and play your 600 when you get your new operating system. Feel free to send
me the $125 you have now saved :-)

Yep, I tried it with the XP and it works fine.

I still have both computer systems.

I'll have to look into some kind of data switch so I can just use the
printer with both systems.

Mel.
You could always get a crossover cable and network your two computers. Very
useful for backing up files, and printing is easy. XP has a dialogue box for
networking that is (in theory, of course) pretty simple.

With all your money ("The Producers") you would think you could afford
a new printer!

Get the C84...you deserve it!
