compaq presario drivers

Mr. Magic

Help please:

I have a Compaq Presario that was given to me but it had no recovery disks.
I was able to get it all back up and running except the propriatory keys on
the laptop. Compaq no longer sells or has available the recovery disks for
this product. Can anybody tell me where to get the drivers for the Compaq
keys on this computer? I am also having problems with the USB not working.
I am sure a recovery disk will do the job if I can get one.

Thanks:

I have an very old Compaq Armada 7750
without recovery disk but with propriatory keys.
I have succeded in assigning a program to a key doing this:
On the desktop, open properties for a program,
e.g. Outlook Express.
Click in the field 'Shortcut Key' and press a propriatary key.
Close properties.
Try the key.

http://www.driverguide.com/ would bemy first guess. You'll have to sign on
(and receive a newsleter or 2 in a year) to use it, but there a loads of
drivers there.

I know there is a general password to log in, but I've lost it. Maybe some
other AFC member remembers?
