Company Name

when I change the name of the company on a contact when viewing the full list
of contacts in outlook it still shows old company, but when I open the
contact the correct information is there. What have I done wrong? Why wont
the new company name show up?
 
What view are you in ("Full List" does not make sense to me) and in which
Column are you changing the Company data?
