Compacting Files

Anyone know if there are any freeware programs that will compact files to fit onto a DVD, as I am trying to put some files onto a DVD but the DVD isnt big enough.

Winrar is a little better than winzip...i think

Pinnacle Studio 8/9 Will compress it...

but it is expensive at around £200
