Hi All
this is the first time ever that i've experienced a situation where deleting
a couple of records (ID 3 & 4, leaving ID 2 as the highest number) and then
compacting the database HASN'T reset the autonumber ID of the next new
record back to 3 ... but i had 6 machines today that all put the next record
in at #5. They were all Access 2000 machines running SR-1.
Any ideas on why compacting the database didn't reset the autonumber, and
more importantly, any ideas on how to re-set the autonumbers now?
BTW there is no data in any of the other tables - just this one.
Cheers
