compact flash boot.stop error f4!

Hi,

I have my post fba XPe image on compact flash. Even though the system boots
properly from compact flash, it hangs after 10 - 15 minutes. It stays in
hanging mode for few minutes and then gives the stop error : F4. After I
restart my system the compact flsh is not being recognised. I need to
shutdown the system, reconnect the CF and then restart.

I have XP pro running on the same system on a hard disk.Even on this, the
system fails to recognise the CF after 10-15 mins of boot up some times!

Is something wrong with the CF itself?

Bill,

If possible, I would suggest you to try another CF and see if the problem
persists. If it does, do you have a spare system you could try the same on?
I have had similiar problems (don´t remember the stop code though) and it
has turned out to be bad CFs a couple of times and once I had a bad
CPU-board.
Could you tell us what your hardware looks like, brand etc.?
