Hi -

New system loaded with Windows Xp and SP 2 andthe Nvidia GeForce 6150 LE.
Tried to load a video from my sons JVC Video Camera using a firewire
cable/port on the system. When running the Windows Movie Maker, I can
control the video camera but there is no playback, even though I have
selected playback. When clicking finish, I get the message "The video was
not capture correctly....verify the camer and capture device are configured
correctly."

I went and grabbed the last device drives for video adapter, and am
currently running 3/9/2006, but it's still not working. I also verified
that I had the latest release of Movie Maker (2.1) which it appears I do.
Checking the Microsoft forums, it says to download the latest device
drivers, which I've done but so far no luck.

Anyone have any thoughts,

TIA

Chris

One update -

I found that running Sonic MyDvd does not work either; I can also control
the recorder but there is no playback during capture and when trying to save
the video, I get a similar type of error when using Movie Maker. I have
several options that I can try from here but outside of contacting nVidia,
I'm running out of suggestions -

Svideo to Svideo
download some free trial versions of software to see whether or not it works
with those
second firewire port

Does anyone have any software recommendations on software that I can try??

TIA,

Chris

I'll have to check around for any driver like that. XP shows my devices at

AVC Compliant DV Camcorder

and doesn't indicate there is an issue with it.
