I have a "comp out" on the back of my computer. And I tried to plug in my tv through that plug. And it doesn't work. I know that it works, because a friend of mine bought the same computer, but he said that there were some options that he had to go throught to get it to work. But can't remember. If you can help me out, that would be great

Connect cable to TV. Turn TV on.

Reboot PC. Windows should now 'see' there is a TV attached. No version of
Windows can see a device that is turned off.

Right click on your desktop and select Properties. From the Settings tab,
click on Advanced. Click on the Monitor tab. There should be an option
here to 'switch' output from Monitor to TV. Remember that audio will still
emanate from the PC's speakers.

If there is no monitor tab, you do not have the correct graphics card
drivers. Visit the manufacturer's website and download and install updated
ones.
