I asked this question previously, but I was unable to get a response or
find a solution.

I am trying to install a null modem device ("Communications cable
between two computers"), preferably with a component, but any automated
way is sufficient.
I just need to install the device, with a specific port to use (COM1).
The current default settings from when it is installed manually is
fine.

Thanks for any help.
Kris

I don't understand very well your question, but if you want to use a
"null modem cable", just do it. I mean, you don't need any specific
driver installed on your computer, just a serial port. Use the serial
port as usually, you don't need anything special.

Windows has a specific "Communcations cable between two computers"
device.
I need this device -- this is for RAS functionality.

Yes, I do have the component in the image.
The only way we have so far to create the device is to manually go
through the "Add Hardware" wizard. I would like to create the device
without a manual process before reseal (in TD or a scriptable way would
be great).

Thanks,
Kris
