Commonwealth Games 2006

Hiya

is anyone interested in the commonwealth games?


the opening ceremony is today
and i beleive the first games start tomorow!

They are in Melbourne, is that where u are Bodhi!!? lucky git lol

Well at the moment they are carrying flags in this might be a silly question
but will there be a GB team or is it England, N.Ireland, Wales and Scotland all seperate?

Because I just saw the Welsh flag on its own as well as the Scottish Flag
I woulda thought that the GB flag was for all of em

oh well

At the Commonwealth Games all countries within the UK ie: England, Wales, Scotland & Northern Ireland are represented by those born in each country. It's the same as in Football, thats why Ryan Giggs gets to play for Wales and not England. And yes i may well watch it

I have always enjoyed watching the Commonwealth Games as you get the smaller countries involved, and yes that includes the Channel Islands, sorry CITech forgot about you guys It is also a good showcase for some who may not get in to a GB side.

Rugby 7's

I've just watched the two Rugby 7's semi-finals - absolutely excellent and so exciting!

England now play NZ in the Final later at 10.50 - it should be awesome.....

I've enjoyed watching the hockey too - used to play it alot, and one of my mates played for England in the last games at Manchester - he gave me his 'Team England' Polo shirt - well cool!!
