Hi there - does anyone know a quick way to get text into a
Comment Box, to save typing? Is there a way to copy and
paste text from one Comment Box to another, or to copy a
Comment Box, then rename it? I need multiple Comment
Boxes in my diagrams, with much the same text in each.....

Help save my typing fingers! Thank you in anticipation,

Fiona Neilson ([email protected])

What version of PPT are you using, and are you talking about true comment
boxes (View/Comments), or are you talking about regular autoshapes or
textboxes?

I'd think copy/paste would be the fastest...

In PowerPoint 2000 and earlier, you can copy/paste comment boxes like any other
shape (or right click/drag to where you want the new copy and choose Copy Here
from the popup menu).

In PPT 2003 (and probably 2002)
Rightclick the existing comment, choose Copy Text
Rightclick the existing comment again, choose Insert Comment
Press Ctrl+V to insert the copied text into the new comment

As to renaming the comment, I'm not sure quite what you're after.
Changing the name at the top? In 2000 and previous, select and retype it.

As to editing comments, PowerPoint 2002 and later appears to be a test to see
how many words you know that wouldn't be acceptable in polite society.
