Command Prompt

When i close Internet Explorer I see a flash of the command prompt window
-this occured after downloading and saving but before installing a
reputable program.
How can I stop this. I have tried using system restore without success.
The command prompt disappears rapidly ,not able to read the window heading.

Does this "reputable program" have technical support?
