Is there a way to boot from a floppy(ies) to a command prompt that will
allow me to access an NTFS drive?

Yes. Get yourself a Win98 boot disk, then get ntfsdosk.exe
from www.sysinternals.com and run it. This will give you
read-only access to NTFS drives.
