Win2KproSP4 Command Prompt
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator>
Path=C:\Winnt\System32

I can add an additional path "C:\"for the present open window..
Say: "Path=C:\Winnt\System32;C:\ "
This works as long as the window is open, but not when Command Prompt is
used again..

How can I set up to remember a new additional path setting???

Add them to;
Control Panel|System|Advanced|Environment Variables
System Variables
or
User Variables

"Path"

I decided to reinstall my "backup" and discovered that the "path" had
many other other items, including Norton Ghost 2003 and Quicktime, so
all is o.k. now...

Are the "System Variables" stored in a file somewhere??

Thanks for the information,
Willard :)

In the registry. Reg_Expand_Sz value named 'Path' found at;
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Environment
