3 Users, all with Access 2003. 2 can run a report macro; 1 cannot. All Access options match; permissions/rights in order. Failing system gets an Action Failed window with the following info:

Macro Name: Claim Age HPS Macro
Condition: True
Action Name: Output To
Arguments: 3, Claim Age HPS Report, MS-DOSText(*.txt), W:/Claim Age/Pacificare/Claim Age HPS Report.txt, No, , 0

After either selecting "HALT" or X-ing out of window, get the following window:

Microsoft Office Access
The command or action 'OutputTo' isn't available now.

Any ideas from the Access gurus?

Thanks!

Found the fix.

OK, stumbled upon the fix. Access was not allowing Print Previews of any Reports. Bizarre. The errors outlined above were symptomatic.

The fix? Install a local LPT printer (whether you have an actual printer or not; just go through the motions). Make it your default printer.

This is what worked for me. Incredible that Access 2003 required that, but it indeed fixed the problem and I'm Friday's Hero of the Day!
