I've tried the -scan switch and it scans and detects
spyware but does not remove it. Does anyone know if there

If you want to remove in an unattended way, use the scheduled scan
facilities. There must be an administrator logged in at the time the scan
is scheduled, and nobody has yet found that the scheduler is perfectly
predictable at all times. (i.e. don't post bugs against the scheduler 'til
beta2.
One detail to note is that the default for some threats in an unattended
scan is quarantine, versus removal--this will be the case for Peer to peer
applications such as Kazaa, for example. This is important.

What isn't clear from that is whether you have any choice as to disposition
of threats when scanning in that mode, which was why I made the reply that I
did--recommending scheduled scans.
It'd be nice to know whether the product, when run via those switches,
behaves in the same way that it would if it were scheduled through the gui.
And you can bet that this capability has been requested by a fair number of
folks here--not all of which are network admin types.
