Hi,

I am currently trying add sum form of navigation to my reports, i want to
avoid having to press the cross at the top right in order to close that
window down so i can go straight back to my form.
Is there anyway of doing it?

Thanks for any help, in advance.

You can build a custom menu for the form.

However, for good usability I would always maximize the report, and thus
have a custom menu bar at the top (always!).

That way, users can always shoot for the x, but now it is in the top right.
You might also add nice close button..as that is often easer to hit.

Here is a screen shot of a report with a custom menu bar:

In watching users over the years...I have NEVER seen users float any of the
tool bars in office. Since users never do this, then you likely should not
do it either. (having some buttion appear somewhere will just get in the way
of the user viewing the report. Worse, is the position can change. Users
like to have buttons and UI stuff NOT move around on them

I would suggest you doc the custom menu at the top of the screen where every
other menu belongs!

Also, since about 99 our of 100 users always maximize the report for better
screen viewing..you might as well maximize the report for your users. Do
both of the above..and users will love you.

You can also seen in that custom menu I have a one-click buttion to send the
report to the default printer..or you can open up the standard print dialog
to change printer (or printer settings). I also have a email buttion too.
