I am new to Access & trying to create a form/database, but the command
buttons I added don't seem to work. Any suggestions as to what I would try
or how to fix it? I have ensured that Data Entry is checked off in
properties, but suspect that there needs to be some sort of relationship
established between the command buttons & the form/database.

Please Help.

What is the code running behind the form and what do you want to happen when
you click on the button?

Since we have no idea what you did, it's a bit hard to guess what you did
wrong! Also, "don't seem to work" is not too informative: do you get nothing
happening at all? an error message? smoke coming out of the monitor?

If this is A2007 the database must be in a "Trusted Location" for code to
work. Is it?

If that's not it, open the form in design view, select the command button,
view its Properties, and post what's there in a message here. If it says
[Event Procedure] click on the ... icon by it and post the VBA code.

Hi, I'm not a professional like many of the guys on here but I do
have a thought. When you created the buttons on the form did the
wizard appear? If not you need to turn on the "Controls Wizard" in
the tool box. the icon looks like a little wand with sparks coming
from it and is located on the top row of the tool box if you have it
floating. When this is turned on just follow the prompts. HTH
