combobox code

Anyone know the code to set the value a combobox on a form that is used to
find a record on that form? The form opens with the fields filled in from
the first record, but the combobox is blank? Does this make any sense? Any
help will be appreciated.
 
Then please ask a specific question about the code and post the part of the
code that you have a question about. Otherwise, nobody has a clue what you
need help with.
