I picked up an Access mdb on my jump drive which is 2000.....did a variety of
updates, new forms, new reports, etc. on it using my machine which has
Access2002....but I double checked that the file format still was 2000. The
forms where I added a combobox to lookup names from a table (combobox is in
the header of a new form) works fine on my machine - but when copied back to
the desktop of the user this combobox causes a runtime error. Everything
else works fine. Are comboboxes not support in 2000?....or is it because it
is in the header?....I did modify the combobox so that the last name column
sorted. Anyone aware of this situation? thanx

First, I would verify that the machine with Access 2000 has all of the
Office 2000 and Jet 4 patches installed. Also, check the References (in the
code editor go to Tools|References) and make sure none of the checked ones
are listed as Missing.

Wayne thank you for the quick reply. I am not familiar with Jet 4 patch
update. I don't have hands-on to the user's machine on a daily basis but can
email user to be sure to update their Office2000 easily enough - - -but not
sure what to instruct them in regard to Jet 4.

As to the code editor References - I will check that myself next time I am
at their station as this is not something they are familiar with.....it is a
good idea that I should have thought about.
