Hi.
i have created a form in Access and have set up combo boxes. However when i
go to create a new record it copies the selection in the combo box to the new
record, whe i change this it alters the first record as well. is there
something i can do to stop this.

Many thanks
Matt

Do the combo boxes have Control Sources bound to fields from your form's
Record Source?

Combo boxes have two different functions: you can use a *bound* combo
box - one with a Control Source - to update the value in a new or
existing record, based on the user's selection; *or* you can use an
*unbound* combo box - one with a blank Control Source - along with
some VBA code to find an existing record on a form. You don't usually
want to try to do BOTH.

If you're using the combos to navigate - make sure they're unbound.
