Combo Box

Good afternoon.

I seem to be having a problem utilizing data from a "combo
box" in Access 97. The combo box exists as a lookup in a
table. The field is then referred to in a query and the
resulting datasheet view contains the correct information
in the form of a "dropdown" box. However, the datasheet
information is subsequently saved as an Excel spreadsheet.
The resulting data appearing in the exported spreadsheet
is the "bound column" data rather than the referenced
column data. FYI, the bound column data was "hidden" by
setting the column width to 0" in the data table.

Does anyone have a suggestion for correctly transferring
this data to Excel?
