Hi

(Running A2K, am also a complete novice !)

I need to use a combobox as opposed to a listbox because I wish to use
conditional formatting (which you cannot use with listboxes)

However, I want the combobox to look just like a listbox, ie I want it to be
a fixed size, scrollable and I don't want the user to have to select the
drop-down icon to view the records

Is this possible??

Cheers

Not really. You can force a combo box to drop down when it gets the
focus, but it won't stay dropped down when the user makes a selection in
it. Are you hoping to use conditional formatting to control the format
of the entries in the dropdown list? You won't be able to do that.

Maybe you'd be better served by a subform.
