greetings everyone.
problem: i have two separate reports with each report having their own
page numbers (ex. page 1 of 5). I need to combine the reports so that
bother print after each other and have the TOTAL of both reports print
page numbers consecutively whereas page 1 of 5 twice now becomes page 1
of 10.

i would appreciate all responses, success or failures. please tell me
if it can't be done.. i've been chasing this for a long time now.

thanks in advance.

Could you create another report (no recordsource), and put the other two
into it as subreports?

That did it I believe. A blank report with the two sets of report data
added as subreports.

Thanks!!

one note for doing it this way. this method pulls the "detail" section
but doesn't consider the two individual report or page headers which
explain the detail.

Still looking.

Thanks again.

Yes, Access ignores the Page Header and Page Footer of subreports.

The usual workaround is to create a Group Header in the subreport. Set its
Repeat Section property to Yes, and it acts like a page header.

(You need to group on a field that is not going to change so as to get the
same header on each page.)
