Hi, I want to draw a chart which contains two series. One is monthl
data and the other is quarterly. Is there a way of combining them

Depends on your definition of "combining them." Depends on what kind
of chart you had in mind.

I want to draw line charts with 2 series - one a monthly series and th
other a quarterly series. eg:

Series 1 Series 2
2003 Jan x 2003Q1 y
2003 Feb x 2003Q2 y
2003 Mar x 2003 Q3 y
2003 Apr x etc
2003 Jun x
2003 Jul x
2003 Aug x
2003 Sep x
etc

Is there a way of drawing this without having to move the 2003Q1,Q2 an
Q3 figures to be in line with the 2003 Mar, Jun & Sep figures?

Thank

You could set up the data like this, then make a stacked column chart:

Monthly Qtrly
2003 Jan X
2003 Feb X
2003 Mar X
2003 Q1 Y
2003 Apr X
2003 May X
2003 Jun X
2003 Q2 Y
etc.

Is there a way to do this other than manually dragging the data to th
correct position?

Thank

Copy-Paste.
Leave data where it is, and use formulas in chart source data pointing
to it.
Retyping.

If you do this a lot, you can probably automate the process of
retrieving or rearranging the data.
