Hello,
I have a Windows XP Home Edition notebook used to access and change data
on our cash register in the family store. The communication
"computer-cashRegister" goes over the regular COM1 connection using the
"Casio Easy Store" software. Win95/98 makes no problem. WinXP breaks the
connection on each attempt. As much as could google out, XP doesn't
accept old good IPX/SPX connections, but requires full auth scheme
within the current workgroup, which the cash register naturally cannot
provide. Before to drop everyone back to W98, I'm just wondering if
there is an easy way to force XP to drop all this pseudo-security crap.
I need just simple port-to-port comm. Any huck close available?
