Com port command line utility

Hi!

I need to send AT commands to a device at com6 via the command line.
Does anybody know about a free utility for doing this?

Hyperterminal does the trick, but unfortunaltely it cannot be run from
command line. "copy con com6" does not do the trick either - I get
"Access denied" when trying...

Any utilities?

Maybe Dial-Up Networking? Don't know if you could launch from a command
prompt though. Just an idea.
