I have tried to re-install Windows 2000 Professional
several times. Each time it stops at the "configuring
COM+" screen and will not process any further. I have
tried a number of options. Unfortunately,I do not have
any WIN 2K boot disk(s).

Any suggestions.

Hi Les,
If you're attempting a *clean* installation of Windows, and it repeatedly
fails, my primary suspect is faulty or misconfigured hardware. Some things
to try:

- Replace RAM
- Remove any unnecessary hardware (NIC, sound, external peripherals, etc)
- Update the BIOS and firmware to the latest available
- Verify BIOS settings
- Test hardware with manufacturer recommended utilities
