Column Width in SubForm that's a Datasheet

I created a form that has a subform that's a DataSheet. I'm getting the
behavior that I want as far as linking the two forms, but I can't get the
subform to look exactly how I want it. I'm having trouble getting the width of
the subform to be just the necessary width so that it shows all of the
underlying columns, but unfortunately I end up with an ugly gray space between
the right-most column and the rest of the subform. I tried setting up the size
of the form (the subform) and also in the main form changing the size of the
subform to no avail. I also tried setting the Auto Resize property in the
subform but that didn't help either. Ideally what I would like to do is for
the rightmost column in the subform to grow so that it fills the available
width of the subform, but I will be happy if I can just get rid of the gray
space to the right of the right-most column. I uploaded an image of the form
to help visualize what I'm getting. The form can be viewed at:

I'd suggest instead using a Continuous Form view, rather than a
datasheet. Move all the controls on the subform up to the top of the
Detail section; snug them together; and bring the bottom of the detail
section up to the bottom of the controls. This gives you a
datasheet-like appearance but a great deal more control over the
layout and appearance. You can use the Form Header section of the
subform for column titles.
