Excel 2010
I need a sheet with columns ranging between 1/2 and 2 inches wide when
printed. Is there any way with Excel to set the width in inches
rather than the default (whatever that is)?

Thanks in advance... Bob

In 2010, the standard column width is 64 pixels, which Excel translates as
8.43 characters, if you use a monospace font. Most non-monospace fonts will
have to be tested to see how wide a given column should be.

I found that if you choose the page layout view you can set column
width by inches.
