How do I put a title on a column. Example: I want column A titled - Unit#,
and I want column B titled - NAME, etc.

You don't. You can label row 1 as desired and hide the rows/columns but you
still have them....

You can put the desired titles in their respective columns in row 1, then
disable row and column headers by unchecking the option under Tools >
Options > View.

But the last step is usually undesirable because you will still want to use
cell reference indicated by row and column, unless you have a lot of named
ranges.

The more common requirement is simply to not show row and column headers
when you __print__. That can be accomplished by disabling row and column
headers under Page Setup > Sheet.
