I have a report that is split in two columns. In the detail section I need
things sorted ascending by last name. All that is set up correctly. The
problem is that instead of the names appearing alphabetically going down the
column and then to the next, it jumps from column 1 to column 2 then back to
1 and so on. The setup is set to “Across, then Down†because if I set it to
“Down, then Across†it does not work – the sections appear on different pages.
Here is the basic layout of the report (you can see where the
alphabetization goes wrong):
DIRECTORS
Boss, Joe Corey, James
Danillo, Jack Every, Mike
Frank, Daniel Gilles, Everett
Kim, Lisa Nice, Marie
ASSOCIATES
Cat, Corey Dancer, Jim
Fake, Sue Harley, Beth
Lou, Maria Zee, Dan
What is the best way to solve this problem?
