Column Grouping

I have a report with two columns. There are quite a few
groups, each with a header. If a new group in column 1
starts 3/4 of the way down a page, it starts, then carries
over to the next colum, Is their some way to force the
group to always start at the top of the page unless it can
be completed at the bottom of the page. In short, is
there some way I can apply "Keep Together-Whole Group" to
a column as it is normally applied to a page?

I tried do that just by setting the group's KeepTogether to
Whole Group and it worked well in both A97 and AXP.

I might not have been clear with the question- The
columns are arranged "down then accross". Stated another
way, I don't want the Header for the 2nd group to display
part way down column one then have the list continue on
column two. The top of column two should always display a
group header unless the very first group in column one
continues to column two. The 2nd group header (or 3rd
etc.) should display part way down a column only if it
finishes before end of the column. I use access2000 with
W2000.

I understood that was what you were doing and that's what I
tested. I don't have A2K, but since it worked for me in
both A97 and AXP, I would expect it to work in A2K too. I
just don't know what else say, either there is more going on
in your report than you've posted here, or there is
something weird happening.
