Column Division

Is there a way to divide a group of cells in a column all
by the same number. For instance, could i divide the cell
range of (G3:G18) all by the number 17 and then store it
back in the cell.

Put the number 17 in a spare cell somewhere and copy this cell. Then select
G3:G18 and use
Edit > Paste Special > Operation divide > OK
(You can now delete the 17 you put in the spare cell.)
