When the value of a slice in a pie chart is zero its colour dominates all
other series when it is viewed in slide show. Is it a normal behavior?

It's a known bug in PPT 2007.

I don't know if SP2 for Office 2007 fixes it or not, but you might install
it and see.

I have a similar issue - I am creating charts in Excel 2007 and copying and
pasting into a PP presentation. The slides look fine as stand alone, but
when I run a slide show, the color in the pie charts disappears. Only the
outline of the chart is there (grayed out), but the data labels and legend
are showing in color.

Right. As I said, it's a known bug. Did you try installing SP2 for Office
2007 as I suggested to the other poster?
