Anyone know why my laptop would have an intermitant problem where the screen sometimes goes green, blue or red and you cant see anything and have to restart? Its very strange and very annoying!!
i dont know much about laptops buti guess its just the same with desktop boards,if its built in its gonna be a mobo replacement. If not then just replace the graphics card.Don't have an idea hot to do it on laptops though.
Mine used to go a very strong pinky colour, and it was the dodgy connection from the Graphics card to the monitor which was solved by a few gentle nudges to the connector.
It sounds to me like your graphics card is a bit screwed up, maybe damaged memory like Triple X Dread said.
How old is the laptop, and what is your graphics set up at the moment? Something integrated?
overheating perhaps, use the laptop on a hard flat surface as to not obstruct air flow
