When looking at the mother board is it possible to tell if its ATA-133
or ATA-100?

Suppose the IDE connector is coloured Blue is this ATA-133 or is it
ATA-100?

What about IDE connector as white color?

And of course I assume IDE black colour connector is the old ATA-33 (ie
slow)

Nope, no visible difference.

Can be either, or ATA-66 too.

The color doesnt tell you.

connector is the old ATA-33 (ie slow)

That is more common, but not absolutely guaranteed.

The best way to work out the connector speed is to see
what the manual says, from the web site if you dont have it.

.....and given that there's no real-world speed difference, between
100/133 it's not even worth the bother.

The blue connector is the primary port, the black one is the secondary one.
