Color Settings

My computer continually switches to 8 bit color rather than
the proper setting of 32 bit color. The monitor clicks,
goes blank, and then comes back on set to 8 bit.

Sounds like a driver for your video cad is not right. Go
to the manufacturer's site and see if they have a newer
driver.

Sounds like either the videocard or the monitor is dying.
